World Water Day: QNET India Advocates Need for Healthier Hydration With KENT-QNET RO Purifier

Bangalore, March 24th, 2025: Water is essential to life, yet safe drinking water remains inaccessible to millions worldwide. March 22nd marks World Water Day, serving as a critical reminder of our collective responsibility to manage this precious resource sustainably. QNET this year is emphasising the need for enhancing awareness about healthier drinking practices, particularly through adopting alkaline-mineral water, in Indian households.

Alkaline-mineral water, characterised by its higher pH levels compared to regular water, offers significant health advantages. Regular consumption of alkaline water can aid in balancing the body’s acidity, enhancing hydration, and supporting better digestion. Furthermore, its mineral-rich nature ensures your body receives essential nutrients often missing in regular purified water, thus promoting overall well-being.

QNET, India region, in partnership with KENT, reinforced the need for adopting the advanced water purification solution – the KENT-QNET SMART water purifier with Alkaline-Mineral and advanced RO technology. This innovative system ensures optimal pH balance in drinking water and effectively removes harmful dissolved impurities such as arsenic, rust, bacteria, and viruses.

A study conducted between January and May 2022 revealed that in areas like Electronics City, TDS levels ranged from 68 to 1,236 ppm, with some samples significantly surpassing the acceptable limit of 500 ppm.“From a national perspective: A 2024 survey by LocalCircles highlighted that only 4% of Indian households receive drinkable quality water directly from their local bodies. Consequently, 60% of households have adopted modern filtration mechanisms to ensure water safety. This underscores widespread concerns about water quality, including potential issues related to TDS levels”, observed Nischal C, head – corporate communications, QNET India region. These studies underscore the persistent challenges related to water quality in India, with elevated TDS levels being a significant concern in certain regions.

“Utilising a high-quality water purifier such as the KENT-QNET SMART not only promotes better health but also contributes positively to the environment by decreasing reliance on bottled water, subsequently reducing plastic waste”, added Nischal.

World Water Day presents an invaluable opportunity for individuals and communities worldwide to reconsider their water consumption habits. Embracing alkaline-mineral water and advanced purification methods demonstrates a proactive approach toward better health and sustainable living.
