The International Soil and Water Forum 2024 will take place from December 9–11 in Bangkok, Thailand. Co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture, the event aims to create the world’s first high-level action plan to tackle soil degradation and water scarcity, two urgent issues affecting food security and the environment.
World leaders, government ministers, and experts will gather to discuss how to manage soil and water more sustainably. The forum will focus on finding innovative solutions and integrating science, technology, and policy to protect natural resources and create more resilient agrifood systems.
The event will feature ministerial dialogues, thematic sessions, side events, and a technology fair showcasing global advancements in soil and water management.
