The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a gradual decrease in temperatures across parts of northwest and central India, including Delhi, over the next few days. The temperature could drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in many areas.
Drop in Temperature Across Several Regions
IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar stated that temperatures in several areas of northwest and central India are expected to fall gradually. This includes states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, where temperatures will return to normal after being higher than usual for this time of year.
Dense Fog is Expected in Punjab and Haryana
The IMD has also warned of dense fog in Punjab and Haryana, which could reduce visibility over the next two days. The fog may be particularly thick during the early morning hours. In Delhi, the minimum temperature has dropped to 12 degrees Celsius, and a thin layer of fog has been observed over the city.
