Union Minister Inaugurates Key Development Projects in Gandhinagar

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pivotal role in improving water access in Gujarat’s arid regions during his tenure as chief minister. Shah highlighted that Modi’s initiatives, such as the Narmada scheme, raised groundwater levels and improved drinking water quality in northern Gujarat.

Modi’s Water Conservation Legacy

Shah recalled that when Modi became chief minister, the state faced severe water scarcity. Modi’s efforts, including the successful completion of the Narmada project, transformed the water situation in Gujarat. Additionally, Modi launched the Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Yojana (Sauni), delivering water to Saurashtra’s villages.

Development Projects in Gandhinagar

On Wednesday, Shah inaugurated several development projects worth ₹241 crore in Gandhinagar district, including an artificial lake, a check dam, and a barrage to improve water resources in Ambod village.

Inspiring Youth and Preserving Heritage

Prerna Sankul, a renovated school where Modi studied, now blends modern education with moral values, inspiring students. The ₹33.5 crore sports complex will offer top-tier facilities for athletes, including a synthetic track and spaces for para-sports.
